Mechanical machine tool protection
REPAR2 machine guards are mechanical protective covers and screens designed for upgrading manual and older metalworking machines, including lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, grinding machines, sawing machines, presses and other equipment. These guards help reduce operator contact with hazardous moving parts, rotating tools, chucks, workpieces, chips, coolant and other ejected particles.
Most REPAR2 solutions are manufactured with a steel structure and a transparent polycarbonate or laminated glass screen. Depending on the model, the guards can be adjustable, hinged, sliding, mounted on the machine body, table, carriage or dedicated brackets. Some models are supplied with safety microswitches, allowing the guard to be integrated into the machine control circuit to stop the machine or prevent start-up when the guard is open.
These guards are especially relevant for older machines that are still in operation but often do not have modern protective covers, or where the existing protection is insufficient. By installing a correctly selected and properly integrated REPAR2 guard, the customer receives a clearly visible physical barrier, reduced risk of operator injury, improved workplace safety and a stronger basis for meeting the minimum safety requirements for work equipment.
