Compact safety PLCs PILZ PNOZmulti 2  

The configurable compact safety controllers PNOZmulti 2 are used in virtually every area of plant and mechanical engineering. PNOZmulti 2 can be used to monitor safety functions safely and to perform standard control functions economically.

The configurable safe compact controllers PNOZmulti 2 have a modular design: Select a base unit and then choose the required number of expansion modules to meet the needs of your application.

Both the hardware and the application configuration are created in the software tool PNOZmulti Configurator. Once completed, the configuration is loaded on to a program memory and inserted into the base unit. The configuration can be simulated offline prior to commissioning - no need for hardware.

You can use the safe compact controllers PNOZmulti 2 irrespective of machine type, plant type, country or industry. 

PNOZ m C0 – Compact device
 PNOZ m C0
  • 8 safe inputs, 2 can be configured as auxiliary outputs;
  • 4 safe semicon. outputs – up to PL e, SIL CL 3, depending on application;
  • 2 test pulse outputs, can be configured as standard outputs;
  • Not modular and expandable;
  • Can be configured in PNOZmulti Configurator from v.11.1;
  • Chip card as optional storage medium.
PNOZ m B0 - the universal option
 PNOZ m B0
  • 20 safe inputs, 8 can be configured as auxiliary outputs;
  • 4 safe semicon. outputs – up to PL e, SIL CL 3, depending on application;
  • 4 test pulse outputs, can be configured as standard outputs;
  • Max. 6 expansion modules can be connected on right-hand side;
  • Up to 253 connection lines in PNOZmulti Configurator;
  • Chip card as storage medium.
PNOZ m B0.1 – for small to medium-sized applications
 PNOZ m B0.1
  • Features the same as PNOZ m B0;
  • Expansions: maximum one I/O module possible;
  • Can be configured in  PNOZmulti Configurator from v.11.0.
PNOZ m B1 - for large-scale projects
 PNOZ m B1
  • No inputs or outputs on the base unit; the number can be controlled, based on the type of I/O modules that are used'
  • Up to 12 safe expansion modules and 1 output module for standard applications can be connected on the right-hand side;
  • Up to 1,024 connection lines in PNOZmulti Configurator from v.10;
  • Integrated Ethernet interfaces and Modbus/TCP on board;
  • USB stick as a storage medium.
